On Friday, March 14th, the 21 children of 6th Class received the Sacrament of Confirmation in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, surrounded by their sponsors, families, and school community. The sun shone brightly on this special day, a fitting tribute to the hard work and dedication the children put into their preparation.
Bishop Paul Connell officiated the ceremony, assisted by parish priest Fr. Joe McGrath and co-celebrated by Fr. Eamon Lynch, granduncle of two of the candidates. The service was made even more meaningful by the children’s active participation in the readings, singing, entrance and offertory procession.
It was a truly memorable occasion, marking an important milestone in their faith journey.
